libpam-abl software package provides blocks hosts which are attempting a brute force attack, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpam-abl
libpam-abl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpam-abl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpam-abl *
You will get with libpam-abl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
